Hi Ed,
I have just read
your article on embedded.com, and thought it was very interesting! In my work as an embedded developer I've been trying to use the V-model, and my projects always over-run due to my superiors changing their minds or not actually giving me all the details until I've developed the system and they're testing it.
Therefore I'm very interested in moving towards trying this agile process. I'm the sole software developer in a small company, so pair-programming isn't possible. And I guess I don't need the integration token either. I'm often asked at a moments notice to update something I haven't touched for months, which has only just been tested by production staff, so the idea that I can fully test all my code is appealing.
Can you offer any advice as to how I can start using agile methods. Any good books you'd suggest?
Regards
Alan
